David Waxman is an IRS enrolled agent. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in mathematics, and worked in the insurance industry for a few years.
David moved to Israel in 1993, and spent some time working in high tech. In 2003, David saw the cloud of confusion that surrounded tax filing for dual citizens; and founded XPAT Tax Services.
David is father to 3 children, and enjoys running marathons and working out at CrossFit.
Ely Cole, CPA, MBA

Ely Cole is a qualified US CPA. He holds an MBA from Ben Gurion University and a BS in accounting and economics from University of Maryland.
Before moving to Israel, Ely worked as a tax accountant at Ernst and Young in NYC where his focus was on high net wealth individual returns. He then worked as a controller at GE before coming to the realization that he enjoyed working on individual taxes more and made the jump. At XPAT, Ely excels at maintaining the highest level of professionalism while never forgetting the human element.
Ely currently lives in Jerusalem with his wife and son.

Steve Schlissel has been with us at XPAT since 2008. He made Aliya from New York in 1988, and subsequently moved to Hashmonaim.
Steve has over 10 years’ experience in web and marketing research, and spent over 20 years working as an IT programmer and systems analyst both in the US and Israel.
Steve excels in providing warm guidance and support to our diverse and growing client base.
Sheera Berger – Staff Accountant

Sheera Berger holds a BS in accounting from Empire State College. She’s been with XPAT since May of 2014.
Before moving to Israel, Sheera taught Algebra and Geometry in Bais Yaakov D’Rav Hirsch in New York.
She enjoys helping her clients navigate the often-confusing world of US tax filing procedure, and looks forward to building rapport as she guides them toward successful tax compliance.
Shevi Gelbfish – Staff Accountant

Shevi Gelbfish holds a MS in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. Originally from New York, Shevi joined the XPAT team in the summer of 2015.
She spent four years as a grant writer and supervisor, obtaining over $4.3 million in awards for healthcare, workforce development, community development, education and other social services.
Shevi is meticulous and thorough in her work, and makes sure that every single client receives personalized attention and care.
Sarah Shaw – Staff Accountant

Sarah Shaw holds a BA in English Literature and Linguistics, as well as a Bookkeeping Diploma.
She made Aliyah from Switzerland in 2005. Sarah worked as a customs agent for FedEx and then at Reshut Hamisim before she joined us at XPAT. She is currently studying to become a tax adviser.
Sarah is goal oriented—and toes the fine line between working efficiently whilst still maintaining warm client relationships.
Leah Freeman – Staff Accountant

Leah is originally from Brooklyn, NY and moved to Israel in 2014. She is currently pursuing her CPA and has nearly completed a BS in accounting.
In the past, she worked as Bookkeeper for BF Real Estate Management in LA. After moving to Jerusalem, she was employed at Phillip Stein and Associates CPA in Jerusalem. Leah joined the XPAT team in February 2016.
Leah is meticulous and soft-spoken. She is dedicated to her work, and will not rest until she is 100% satisfied with the job she’s done.
Freidel Shwarzberg – Client Support

Freidel grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn and moved to Israel in August of 2013. She completed her service with the IDF in the Summer of 2015. Previously, Freidel studied chassidut and the arts.
She loves acting and writing and she even raps.
Freidel uses her sensitivity to help our clients gather the documents that we need in order to help them.
